About Barbara Lynn-Davis…


I received my Ph.D. from Princeton University and my M.A. from Williams College, specializing in art, architecture, and gardens of the Renaissance period in Italy.  I have led art tours to Italy, and received numerous prestigious awards for my research, writing, and teaching in the field, including from the U.S. Government, the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, the Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation, and Harvard University.


The essays on art in Venice and Verona included on this site have been published in City Secrets: Venice, Florence, and the Towns of Italy, (The Little Bookroom, New York, 2001).
